There are a few reasons why your website isn’t optimized even after installing NitroPack.
Website Isn't Connected To NitroPack
First, make sure you’ve connected your website to NitroPack. If you haven’t, please do so by following our instructions:
Third-Party Services Aren't Integrated
Second, if you're using any of the third-party services listed below, you’ll need to go through a few more steps before NitroPack can work its magic.
We have a separate article, describing how to configure CloudFlare to work with NitroPack. Please refer to it if you’re a CloudFlare user.
2. Reverse Proxy (Varnish, NGINX, etc.)
If you’re using a Reverse Proxy server, you’ll need to configure a few settings to synchronize both caches. Again, we have a separate article on the topic.
If your website is protected by Sucuri, you must configure API access, so NitroPack can sync both caches and ensure the best possible performance. Check out our article to see how you can do that.
4. WP Engine or Kinsta
In order for URL tagging and post scheduling to work correctly, NitroPack has to access your website directly, bypassing the caching layer provided by WP Engine or Kinsta.
To achieve this, please contact WP Engine’s or Kinsta's support team and ask them to configure a cache exclude based on the "nitropack-nocache" cookie. Feel free to use their chat support option, as this is a really quick thing to do.
Please phrase your request like this:
“Hey, can you please configure a cache exclude based on the following cookie: nitropack-nocache”
Once they confirm that the exclude is in place you should be all set for using NitroPack.
Optimization Limit Reached
Finally, if you've been using NitroPack for a while, you might've reached your optimization limit.
Go to your NitroPack Dashboard to check if that's the case:
If you've maxed out your optimizations, you'll need to wait until the next reset or upgrade to a plan with more optimizations.
If you've checked everything listed above but NitroPack still doesn't optimize your website, please contact us.
